The Kia Soul 2017 arrives in Spain with renewed arguments

The Kia Soul is one of the most controversial and different models that has in its portfolio the South Korean car manufacturer. The first generation of this small SUV – urban monovolume went rather well without pain or glory for Spain but after a time away from the lists of sales Kia decided to launch its second generation. This with respect to the first polished many of the details that made it not convince and after a while in the market has just come a small facelift to update its image and refresh it in front of the competition.

The new Soul unveils the design that the brand already presented in the past Paris Motor Show. If we focus on its exterior design the brand has retouched its optical groups adding daytime driving lights by LEDs. In the lower part of the front, we find a new fog lamp with a grille and bumper with light touches. If we go to the rear in it we find some new rear pilots and changes in the lines of its bumper. Complete the new designs for their alloy wheels and new tones for the body.kia-soul-2017-2

Going into the change that has experienced regarding the Soul that was being sold so far is minimal. The quality of the materials that are most insight and that of some controls has been improved. The rest of the interior of the Soul is maintained without great variations showing itself as a very technological car and quite resolved in terms of ergonomics and technology on board.

kia-soul-2017-interiorIf we talk about their range of mechanics things stay more or less like so far. If we talk about diesel the Soul maintains the previous block 1.6 CRDI with 136 hp attached to a 6-speed manual gearbox. If we talk about gasoline the brand maintains the previous block 1.6 GDI with 132 horsepower and adds the new 1.6 TGDI with 204 hp. Both mechanics, like diesel, are associated with a manual gearbox with 6 speeds or a DCT automatic with double clutch and seven speeds dedicated exclusively for the more powerful version TGDI.

The range of Kia Soul in Spain will continue to revolve around four levels of finishes called by the brand (from less to more endowment) Concept, Drive, Emotion, and Sport. Finally, we must mention that the price range will range from 18,125 euros for the 1.6 GDI 132 cv Concept (manual) to 26,625 euros for the 1.6 CRDI 136 cv Emotion 7DCT. The 1.6 TGDI version with 204 hp and Sports finish is situated at 25,500 euros.
